Email is your choice
We store your email, your consent wording and dates, your Zero Cut preference, and, only if you allow reading analytics, the campaign that brought you here. You join only after submitting the confirmation page linked from our email. Joining Zero Cut does not join the EggBasket product waitlist. Resend delivers our emails; Cloudflare hosts the site and stores these records. We do not use email tracking pixels or rewrite email links to track clicks.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. We retain confirmed consent and unsubscribe records while needed to honor your choices and demonstrate consent. Unconfirmed signup records expire after 30 days. We retain bounce and complaint suppression to prevent unwanted mail; rejoining does not clear it.
What helps us improve the comic
With your permission, we count page views, chapter starts, halfway points, end-card views, business-note views, and clicks to EggBasket. Subscription totals come from operational consent records. Campaign-attributed signup counts use the analytics permission you gave when submitting the signup form. A chapter completion means its end card was visible, not proof that someone read every word.
Reports group events by chapter, known campaign/post, referral category and mobile/desktop layout. We discard arbitrary query strings and full referral URLs. We do not record names, emails, raw IP addresses, precise locations, browser fingerprints or persistent visitor IDs in reading analytics. These are event counts, not unique people or social-platform impressions.
Reading events are retained for 90 days. A random event identifier prevents duplicate submissions of the same event; it does not follow you between pages. Reading analytics starts off. After you choose Allow reading analytics, campaign attribution is kept in this tab's session storage for up to 30 minutes since the last visit. Your on/off choice is remembered locally for 180 days and contains no visitor identifier. Declining or withdrawing permission clears this tab's stored attribution and stops future reading events. We do not replay reading milestones from before you gave permission. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for reading events. Confirmed signup and delivery records are still needed to operate your subscription.
Use Reading analytics: Change in the footer of the privacy page, any public chapter, or the reading room to change your choice. Refusal does not affect reading or email signup. Previously collected records follow the retention periods above; contact us for a privacy request. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the signup form. Abuse limits temporarily store keyed hashes, not raw IP addresses, and clear expired counters daily. Hosting and email providers may process request and delivery metadata to operate their services.
Links to other sites
EggBasket and the social platforms have their own notices. Our report counts a click to EggBasket; it cannot tell whether someone later joins or buys there. Social-platform impressions, views, saves and shares must come from those platforms.
